Why is there no official release for battle.net of the newest version yet?
Only major updates are released without fixed modes for Battle.net. W3Champions supports automatic updates, making it the main platform for frequent changes and testing.
I've launched the newest version on Battle.net but cannot change the modes, how can I set the modes?
You've launched the W3Champions version which has pre-set modes, you cannot change them.
Q: What is the advantage of W3Champions over Battle.net?
W3Champions offers automatic map updates, matchmaking, reconnecting, statistics and other services which are not available to custom maps on battle.net. For Castle Fight specifically, ranked activity is usually strongest during the European evening window, around 18:00 to 22:00 CET/CEST.

What do I need to do to play on W3C?
Simply go to the W3C website. Click "Download now!" and choose the version for your operating system.
Run the install, sign in to Battle.net and it's done. There is no need to pre-launch Battle.net, Warcraft 3 or download the maps, the app will do it automatically when you decide to queue up for a game.
In case your W3 is not fully updated, the app will request you manually update W3.
If you want the best chance of fast matches, queue during the European evening peak, typically 18:00 to 22:00 CET/CEST.
